Default 2014 2500 68RFE Rebuild or Reman?

I have a 2014 2500 with the 68rfe. Today, I was moving another truck that wouldnt run on gravel and my dad was driving my truck. He thought he had it in 4wheel low but was in 4wheel high. Well, he started pulling me in the DOA truck and got to hopping and spinning. I got him shut down but now my truck will only go about 10 feet then slips in drive. It will work properly in reverse. In reading about the symptoms, it sounds like I lost my Overrun Clutch (ORC).

My truck is deleted but is at the hardway lowest setting. I deleted it because my DPF system crapped out in July and with 75000 miles I thought, what could happen to the powertrain before 100,000. PLus it was the cheaper option rather than repairing the cat pee system. Anyway, now I have no powertrain warranty.

So here are some questions I have.....

Should I rebuild it via a local shop and if so what should I have done?

Or should I get a remanufactured?

Keep in mind, the truck I was pulling was an antique fire truck that I just dropped a large wad of cash on and now my rainy day fund is rather dry.

The guy who did my delete can install a jasper for around $3000 or a revmax and I dont know what the price is on it yet.

Does anyone know what a decent transmission shop would charge to repair mine? Id rather have mine rebuilt than get one that someone has run the guts out of and now its rebuilt.

I know its a lot of questions but I am sick about this. On a saturday, theres not a lot of places to get prices or information from.

Thanks in advance.
