So about every 5 shifts to 5th gear it grinds a little but still goes into gear after it grinds. This is a new thing, yes i know how to drive manual been driving it since I was 10 it's not me it's the tranny. My guess is it's the synchro, I really don't think it's the 5th gear nut but I have no idea. Any ideas?

 

Sounds like syncros to me.

 

Guess I should just rebuild whole tranny then?

 

It's really easy to pull the back cover off the trans to check out 5th gear. You may start there. Ive replace that syncro cone several times from beating on mine in 5th. You can have that back cover off in about half an hr to 45 mins
