Default Scanner shows 2500, gauge shows 300 WTF?!

Well I have another PITA that won't start. After several days of troubleshooting I have discovered that the Auto Enginuity scanner I am using showed 2450 psi on the ICP with the ICP sensor unplugged (showed 0 plugged in). I trusted it and assumed the injectors were getting oil. But after nearly a week of tearing my hair out, I put a gauge on the HP line from the HPOP to the left head it read 300 psi! I will change out the HPOP, but I would love to know why the scanner read 2450 psi. Any ideas? Thanx for any insight you can give.

Ok, I think I understand. So that 2500 is a calculated value and not the actual pressure. I get it. Gee, that's too bad it's made that way. I wonder how many man/hours have been wasted by guys like me, chasing down dead ends because they thought the value was real?
