Just read all about cavitation, think I may be too late!

Have a 91 7.3 IDI with 315000 miles on it. went out the other day to move my truck for the hurricane, truck started, ran really rough for 20 seconds and made a loud bang noise and that's it.

Removed the air cleaner looked into the intake and noticed some water in the intake not a lot but enough.

Previously had replaced the radiator with a new one about 10 months ago, noticed that the coolant level was a little low every time I checked it, thought it was probably just air in the system and added some every time it was low.

Removed the glow plugs to see if I could get any water out of the cylinders but I can't rotate the crank.

What do you think???? Any Ideas!!!!

 

hows the oil?

 

The oil is black as ever
No water that I can tell
Pulled all the glow plugs and can't turn it over at all
Passenger rear glow plug had water on it.

 

Any medal in the oil and what was the level and does the oil smell like diesel
