I just got a 1995 Dodge 2500 cummins. I have been driving it and I thought I had most of kinks worked out but not it just gave me huge new issue. It started by the pickup sometimes not wanting to idle after extended times on the highway, but now its completely random. I might drive the thing all day and have no issues but occasionally it won't idle and if it dies the only way to start it is to out the pedal down and give it fuel. If I let off then it will stumble and die. But if I drive it like this more often than not the issue will go away for a while. Its not the shut down solenoid because that was replaced with a hand cable. Any ideas??? Praying its not the injector pump need a rebuild. Oh, also it does have a bully dog lift pump.

 

Figured it out. The wired the lift pump wrong...idiots...hopefully I didn't damage the injector pump.
