So I drove my 99 f250 a liitle harder than usual today just to find out how it handled a load before any modifications, and go figure, my transmission acted up. It wasn't terrible, but its definitely on it's way out. I don't plan on adding tons of power or racing or anything like that, but some mild upgrades, another 100 HP, and 200 ft lbs of torque would make this a very enjoyable truck for years to come. Any advice on transmission work? I'm not in the mood to pay $2500+ for a rebuild, just to end up with a stock tranny that will fall apart the second I put serious power to it. Thanks for any words of wisdom.

 

If i was you spend the money get one from bts and never have to worry about transmission again.
