Default programming

Almost forgot, some previous owner apparently had an edge programmer in my 99 f250, left it on "economy" mode, and took the programmer with him. No idea why, since its worthless on another vin, just wondering if its possible to override/re-program the brains back to stock. It runs fine, but I'd like to have the option later, and I would rather not replace the ecm if I can help it. Any thoughts? Thanks.

you can have ford reflash the PCM back to stock or if you go with another chip like the hydra it will override the tune on the PCM.

That's the third time I've heard of the hydra. It won't confuse the prior program? Sounds like I need one, and a beefed up tranny to handle it.
