k1500 with heavy duty rear end?
Hello all,
I was just wondering. I have a 1996 k1500 truck. The owner told me it had a heavy bottom rear end or maybe he said its a heavy half. All and all its supposedly a super heavy duty rear end. Did that type of option exist?

I think their's a 9.5 14 bolt a 10.5 14 bolt.
Both have 14 bolts on the cover. The cover on the 9.5 is round. The 10.5 is a hexagon ish.
I've never seen a 10.5 in a 1500 just heavy 2500's and 3500. Could be possible in a diesel though.
I think the 9.5 is also available in a full float or semi float.
The lighter duty is 10 bolt which have a bad rep. Probably what he was getting at.
