I have my 1st gen installed and running in my E350. I just started with the hot wire going to the fuel solenoid. Now the real wiring starts, I'm using a new 6.0 ford starter and want to know if I need to use the pre starter solenoid that was used to power the old IDI. It's the solenoid that sits on the back of the idi or on the fender of some.

 

So what's the status.
