Ok this a fist for me but here it goes I was pulling my toyhauler back from camping and while pulling the grades the engine and tranny temp spike at 228 I have always had issues but seems to be worse the egts always hit 1400 until it down shifts boost pulling the hills is at 25 in 2nd gear the egt drops to the 1200 or so the temps bother me because at 217 the fan would kick in an the temps would come down the fan is working all service has been done I just can wrap my head around this any help

 

Are we talking about the 2006 Ram in your profile? If so have you checked the clutch fan assembly? there seems to be a lot of problems lately related to that.

 

Just had a new fan clutch put on about six months ago it is the 06 ram. It seems that the egt go up so will the temp.
