I have a 1991.5 D250 and the odometer is not working, I have found several threads discussing the issue but had some further questions. The speedometer works fine and I installed new gears into the odometer/speedo cluster. After installing the gears the odometer worked great for .8 miles. My guess would be a short in the wiring somewhere and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. If the vss was the issue, would the speedo still work and the odometer not? Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

 

maybe go back over your install maybe something came loose.
