I just bought a 1996 7.3 di put all new injector o rings and 1 new injector glow plugs and valve cover gaskets have to hold the throttle to the floor to start it runs great for 8 seconds throws check engine jumps up in idle runs really rough truck won't let me connect to it to read any codes need help

Sounds like it has air in the fuel still. was it running fine before the injector and glow plug maintenance?

 

Well I got the one issue fixed was cdr valve now it's got some sort of tick that follows engine speed can tell if it is exhaust or lifter and it still smokes white a little and takes a couple extra seconds to start truck sat for 1.5 years still has old diesel in it
