Default hard starting when hot

My 90 starts fine when cold, but doesn't start well when hot. It cranks and cranks, runs fine once it does catch.

A couple years ago, I replaced some seals, throttle bushing, and a higher rpm governor spring. Turned out the adjustment screws a couple turns (very mild). Otherwise stock.

any thoughts?

thanks

I have done some searching and not seen this problem, but now I am wondering about the cutoff solenoid. How exactly does it work? Is it normally "on" until the key is turned off, or "off" when the key is on? I noticed that the electrical connection is a little loose.

well you could start there, take it to a diesel shop and see what they say wouldnt hurt, and its better to check instead of throwing parts at it in hopes of fixing it. and if you do end up having bad injectors go here for parts Dodge Ram Cummins - 1989-1993 5.9L 12 Valve Dodge Cummins - Fueling and Injection - Fuel Injectors - Diesel Auto Power, LLC

update, finally got around to working on it.
pulled the pump and had it rebuilt,
basically, the pump was worn and would "leak down" at cranking speed but not enough when running.
