Default Measuring Blocks - description

I've recently purchased a OBD tool that enables me to read codes, reset, etc.. I'ts been a good tool for testing and fixing a few problems... until I got to reading the measuring blocks. The device reads blocks fine, but there's no way to really understand what data is being displayed in the data fields. I've seen a couple of different tables that show the measuring block # and field descriptions, but they havn't matched the data types. Do you know if there is a specific 'Measuring Block Description' for 96/97 TDI 1.9 Passat? If so, can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry! I don't know how I missed this?

The only scanners that I know of that will tell you the value block 'Specific Description' is the VW scan tool or a VAG-COM. The problem with the aftermarket scan tools are, there a generic scanner and they try to generalize for everything out there.

Now, VW offers a subscription for there technical information.
