So I've got a 2011 5500 6.7. I blew the motor at less than 80,000 miles. The block has a hole in the side where a rod cap exited. I've got an '01 and an '02 5.9. I'd like to use the short block from either one of the two. Basically I just want to have a 5.9 bottom end with everything else factory 6.7. Any suggestions?

 

I'm sure it may be possible but you will have to change Pistons too. The bowls are different.
