I have just purchased a 97' F350 powerstroke w/121,000m. It is pretty much stock. What would be the very first upgrade for longevity you would do?

 

depends on your goals but gauges, exhaust, intake and chip are the normal mods

 

Hey sizedawg. I just recently purchased a 97 7.3 crew cab and I too want to do some mods but I'm definitely looking for longevity first and more power as a secondary. Any updates on what you've chosen to do? Any pictures?

 

how much power are you looking for? what do you do with it? budget?

 

Question I have a 1996 7.3 Power Stroke does it have a silencer in the turbo and can it be removed if it does

 

No they don't have a silencer ring. That is a Cummings thing
