Question Cummins + C10 Suburban - Body Swap or Engine/Drivetrain Swap?

Okay folks, my husband and I are having a critical debate:
Should we swap the body of the 1970 2WD automatic C10 Suburban onto the 1996 12V 4WD Cummins or should we drop the Cummins into the C10 and swap out the drivetrain for a 4WD? Pros and cons?

How to the frames compare width wise? There is going to be a lot of work converting the 2wd frame to accept the 4wd drive train.

It's my understanding that the width is good, the frame will just need to be shortened lengthwise. I'd love some input from someone who's done one.

I've done similar swaps before, body swaps and motor/drivetrain swaps. Given the suburban is 2wd and 1/2 ton, I would do the body swap. Much more work the other way.
