Hi all!
I'm looking to purchase a 2004 Cummins with about 180 on the clock from a reputable dealership. At first glance the truck appears to be stock. I didn't see anything crazy in the engine compartment and the stock exhaust was still on the truck. Upon further looking at things, I noticed it had a FASS system outside the frame rail by the tank. My question is was it likely replaced for better fueling and filtration, or is it likely this truck was beat by some young hot shot?

 

look at the exhaust manifold and see if there is a hole in it from an egt probe. that will give you a little more info about the truck.
