Default How is this thing lifted??

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out how to lower my truck. Its a 2000 F250 CCSB with what I believe is a 6" lift on it. I only say 6" because thats what the previous owner told me. It has 6" blocks in the rear. I have 4" blocks to replace them with. I can't figure out how the front end was lifted. The springs say Ford on them so I'm guessing they're original. I've included a few pictures that hopefully show it well. Can anyone help with with insight on how this lift was done?

Thank you so much in advance!!

A little mind boggling here.
It looks factory just like my stock work truck.

Only thing I can think of is the shackles. My stock shackle on the rear of the spring "below the front door" measures about 5-6 inches from bolt to bolt. Might check yours.

Bout all I see to check, good luck!

Thanks for your help! I was kind of leaning towards it looking stock too. I'll measure bolt to bolt on the shackle when I get home. The funny thing is it has Ford branded "U" code leaf springs too! I really expected to see lift springs from some company. I'm thinking they may have re-arched the springs and/or added a leaf.

Well my shackles measure 5" from bolt to bolt haha so I'm thinking they're stock

Hmm.

My stock 250 has two leaf springs and are more of a flat design. Measures 52 inches from shackle to shackle.

My 350 is lifted 6 inches
Has 5 springs an upward arc in the design and measures 56 inches shackle to shackle.

I should have paid more attention when the the shop lifted mine but at the time I was a kid and didn't care .
I'm actually in the process of reworking the suspension system for a better ride quality. I better start doing homework on it.

I hope that helps.

That helped a lot! I was trying to figure out how many springs were in a stock pack. I guessed two but wasn't sure, you confirmed it for me.

I haven't had a chance to measure shackle to shackle but I will tomorrow. I'm kind of guessing they took the stock Ford springs and had them re-arched and added leafs but I'm still not sure haha. I would love to have a stock truck (at least suspension wise) right about now to know where to start!

I wonder if the add a leafs beneath the factory springs cause it to arc like that, might be possible. Or like you said they were done by a shop. Anyways good luck!
