Alarm goes off while in reverse with driver door open. Does anyone know how to disable this feature?

I would have an alarm installer take a look at it

I've found an article quoting an owners manual about how to do it, but hasn't worked for me. If the seat belt is buckled, it doesn't do it on mine. I've also read that a click or two of parking brake will stop it.

You can get some dealers to take it off but only if you sign a waiver
