I have a 2006 Cummins. Im trying to determine if I have a bad injector pump of just some clogged injectors.

Have an Air dog FP 100 and it is working fine

What is happening to make you think your injector/ CP3 are bad?

First thing is had large amounts of black smoke while running. Also the air dog pump had gone about and I drove the truck for a few months with just CP3 pump.

The truck wouldn't crank as of yesterday morning. I took the fuel line off the rail to see if fuel would come out while turning truck over. A small amount came out. ( not sure how much was supposed to come out).

I have injector issues in the past and it acted this same way just wanting to make sure the Cp3 pump isn't going bad as well

I am sure it wasn't doing the pump any good with no lift pump pressure. But the Cp3 pump is pretty stout the lift pump pressure for it is only about 6 PSI.
You should have a high pressure at the fuel rail be extremely careful. Fuel should spray everywhere and make a giant mess if the pump is making pressure.
Do you have any other details about the truck?
Any programmer or other mods?

Get fuel pressure to the CP3. If you don't have fuel pressure you may have a no start issue and poor running/ bad atomization/ lots of smoke from low rail pressure.

I took all the fuel lines off the fuel rail to start pyllunv the injectors to clean. While all apart I turned the engine over and no fuel out of fuel rail. I will clean the injectors and put all back together. From what I can gather from the information everyone is telling me sounds like CP3 pump is bad. Thank you for all the advise. I will update once I clean injectors and try to start truck again.

I hope you did not take the injectors apart for cleaning.

I have figured out it is the CP3 pump. Ordered it and hope to have it on in a few days.
