Guys I rebuilt my 04.5 ram 2500 5.9 cummins now it wont run all things point to injectors .
Would I need new injectors or would INJECTORS NOZZLES fix it , Looks as my old injectors are just dumping fuel

 

i think you would be fine with just the injector nozzles but i never messed with injectors before, is it dumping the fuel into your crank case? did you happen to drop or smash the injectors against something while you had them out?

 

I would have injectors checked before I put new nozzles on.

 

I agree with AHolt. Have them checked at a diesel shop.

 

did they work before you tore it apart, if so its not the problem. they are electroclly controlled so nozzles wont fix it. sounds like electrical holding them open. dd

 

Guy's I forget to mention when I tore it down all but 1 compresion ring was broken and droped 3 injector sleeves. About a week before the engine blew it started smoking bad , was getting harder to start. I didn't see the writing on the wall till it was to late. The truck has been a huge thorn in my side

 

Does it even try to fire?

 

It tries to start when you first hit the key ; then it is like it loses fuel pressuer. I have purchesed 5 fuel rail block off caps . From what I can tell 5 inj. are open dumping fuel and one is ok I think
