Default 2003 Duramax Diesel Starting Issue

I own a 2003 2500HD Duramax 6.6L Turbo Diesel. I have an issue lately after I run the truck for a while and stop. If it sits for about an hour, when I start it it will fire up but will quickly stall due to lack of fuel. I have to get out a prime it with the pump. When I get back in the truck and start it I have to floor it to get it to turn over.

Originally it happened occasionally but now it happens all the time. Sometimes I have to pump it 2 or 3 times. The warmer the ambient temperature the worse the problem. What is strange is that if I stop the engine and they restart it within 10-15 minutes, no problem.

Any suggestions on the possible fix?

Smile Hard start

I went online and found a diesel place in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada that sold rebuild O-ring kit and gaskets, new brass bleeder screw. ($40.00+/-). Took off fuel filter assembly.
About 1 1/2 hours later, I was motoring and haven't looked back since.

My buddy went to a dealer with the same problem and he paid the dealer $560.00 for the same fix.

Can't recall the name of the place that I got it from as it was a year or so ago. Since then, no priming; good starts in all weather.
