Ok guys I just sold my 2002 lb7 duramax I had nothing but problems with it so am kinda on the edge about buying another money pit. So I've come across a 04 slt cummins auto 4wd and it has 199,145 on the truck. I've checked for blowby and there is none crazy huh? Or not? The truck is one owner and the carfax shows that the truck was maintenance on schedule. Guy wants 16.5k for it what's your thoughts?

 

With supporting paperwork I wouldn't hesitate at all on a 200k Cummins. I've owned both a 200k & 300k 3rd gen. I think it's a bit high on money but that directly depends on the market where it's located at.

I'd get 20 for that truck in CA!

 

I would go for it, my 03 has been not bad considering what I do to it.

 

Go for it- in tx that trucks worth 18-22k. Has the tranny been overhauled recently? Injectors done? I have 207k on mine had it since 170k and done nothing major. Tranny was done right before I got it. I am due for injectors according to readings when tuning for EFI. If it has stock filtration that may be something to think about as the 7 micron stock filter stinks!

 

One owner with supporting maint. paperwork for 16.5k where I'm from is cheap! Provided its clean and not beat up of course.
