Default Dusted turbo?

I have a 2003 dodge with a 5.9 h.o. I just wanna get someone else's opinion to see if I'm destroying my motor and need to try a different filter. The truck runs fine no white smoke no loss of power no leaks no blow by I just want someone else's opinion

K&N had a history of letting dirt thru and ruining engines. They may have fixed the issue but better safe than sorry. Not sure the reason they're material would let fine sand thru but a few 10k motor rebuilds and people were screaming on the forums quite a few years ago though!

so what say that the s&b are not doing the same thing.
don't you wash and oil them the same or is the filter material made different.
my truck does not see any gravel roads it like if it see 20 miles of gravel a year it all pavement driving. I have taken the tube off the turbo and it always dry and clean. If dirt and dust was getting by the filter would it not show there
My K/N is a spiral air filter kit

you can run a k&n if you want, they just have a bad rep. just cuz they look the same doesnt mean they are the same.

My truck has 88k miles on it and the turbo looks a little dirty. My 7.3 I had had an afe intake and it had 101k miles when I sold it and that turbo was spotless. Regardless the k&n is going in the trash and I'm gonna search for something else.
