High egts?
Been watchin my gauges a lot closer lately and I notice my egts jumpin to 1400 and 1500. Runs almost 14 on the interstate!😳 I did notice the gauge ain't but three ish inches back from the turbo. But not sure if that makes a lick. And while I'm thinkin. Fuel pressure rarely breaks 6 or 7 psi. Is that normal?
HAALLLLPPP PLEASE

That is really bad! Got any smoke on start up? Fuel pressure is fine and should be there for a CR. Sounds like an injector is dumping fuel. What tuner are you using? And what mods do you have? At those temps I bet you are or have melted a piston. WhaT are your turbo boost numbers?
Well. I think it's the gauges by this point. She's bone stock save for the 2nd gen manifold, cold air intake, and the exhaust (5" with an aeroturbine muffler) & there's no smoking at all she may spritz a wee bit if I'm gettin on the interstate in a hurry not even a real puff. She's still running perfect...

Well I've heard of spikes being common, but my gauge only goes to 1500 and at 70/75 it rides on that. Is the sending unit supposed to be mounted on the manifold or behind the turbo? I mean, I'm pretty new to this stuff. Especially the gauges. 😅
And two jobs with full school don't help research time. Lol

the EGT probe is supposed to be mounted in the manifold. i would take off the turbo when tapping and drilling to keep the shavings outta the turbo. guys have also just put grease on the drill bit and tap to catch the shavings and also just did it with the truck running since there is enough back pressure to blow the crap out.
