Is there a way to tell if there have been upgraded put on your truck? I just bought an 04 3500 and I know it has an upgraded exhaust system but I want to know if it has an upgraded transmission or anything else. Is there a way to find out?

 

sometimes on a transmission for example, you can tell if it's aftermarket there will usually be the aftermarket companies name on it. turbo's, same thing.
programmers, that is a little harder to tell, you may have to take it to a dealership have them hook up a laptop and see if the origanal programs are in the ecu.

 

The transmission is the same but was curious if it has been built up instead of replaced. Is there a way to find that out?

 

The only way to find out would be to pull it apart.

 

if its a manual and you have a steel braided line, then you prob have an upgraded clutch. i am guessing you have an auto though.
