Default 6.4 A/C belt tensioner

Anyone have a write up for changing the A/C belt tensioner? Sounds like the pulley is ready for lift off while idling.

Well it sucks. Fan assembly has to come out in order to get the room you need after that everything is right there. The fan has a mount that is in the middle of that belt. I will say I had to take a long bar after having to pull the passenger side tire and inner fender in order to get the tensioner to pull. It was not easy for me mostly because my idle fall off and sheared my belt right off. I have seen once or twice people say you can do it all from the inner fender but it would work for me but I have a f450 and my front end is set up a little different I believe.

Oh wow sounds a lot more complicated than doing the main drive belt! I'll have to check into it this weekend and see what all is in store thanks for giving me a place to start though!

Yes very much so there is just no room in there to do anything I mean I ain't no big guy like 155lbs soaking wet. I had trouble getting in there and the axle sits right in the way from the bottom, word of advice have an extra set of hands with ya. And good luck if you find a better way please let me know.

I've seen this video before when I was doing my main drive belt but I now see what I was missing the first few times I watched it ( the location of the other tensioner) thank you very much
