Fuel Pressure Regulator
Just had my truck analyzed. Was told I need a new fuel pressure regulator and as I suspected injectors. Estimate came back at 5300.00. I have an automotive background (gas) but I am going to try and do this repair. Thanks to all the help on this website, I think I can do it.
Question about the FPR. Can a bad FPR cause the injectors to malfunction? My balance rates were from -0.8 to -4.5. He said 5 of the 8 were out of speck. Also looking up FPRs. I see a lot of people selling Bosch FPR's. Are they good, should I go with genuine Chevy part or is there another brand I should consider?
Thank you

It can if its regulating too low of pressure only buy bosh I'd buy injectors from merchant automotive boshs no eBay remans and look into a cat furl filter upgrade to prevent lots of future injector issues
Bosch is quality and OEM as stated above. And a bad FPR can cause injector damage. Make sure when you replace it, you stick with an LB7 regualtor. A lot of guys will pitch you and LBZ regulator, which you can use, it is just a nightmare for tuning.
