Information Fuel Additives & 2-stroke

Here is some info on some of the fuel additives I've been experimenting with over the past 8 months

I got 16.7 no additive, regular #2 (60% highway/40% in town)
1st bottle of additive (Bi-tron) 17.1 (60% highway/40% in town)
2nd bottle of additive (Bi-tron) 15.9 (I had my slide in camper on for about 60 miles, 60% highway/40% in town)
3rd bottle of additive (Bi-tron) 17.6 (80% highway/20% in town)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some results on other additives I ran and tested when the truck had about 8k on it
regular #2 15.8
2-stroke oil 17.5 (60% highway/40% town)
Stanadyne 16.8 (60% highway/40% town)
Stanadyne 16.1 (Towing 6k)
Amsoil diesel additive 16.5 (60% highway/40% town)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This past week I went on a long trip with a car trailer in tow, and with the 2-stroke, I got 20.5. That's running 65-70mph and dealing with L.A. stop and go traffic.

So as you can see, I've had the best luck with 2-stroke! If I had to pick an additive, it would be Stanadyne hands down based on my experience!

Anybody got some info on there individual test results with different additives, PLEASE post!

Thanks!!!

I've never used Standyne's but I see the best results on long drives with HOWES but only on long drives. The short trip and stop and go is better with the Power Service - I don't know why. My range is normally around 800 km in town (90% in town) and as soon as I set it up on the HWY it climbs to 950 km, 1000 km and beyond. In the summer on ULSD (we only have that up here) I get just under 1200 km on 125L of fuel. With the box loaded things are a little different but not by much. Pulling big trailers the economy goes down but is still pretty good.

I tried power service once and didn't notice any difference. I'll have to test that one next. There is an additive I use to use all the time, I can't remember the name, LMM or BMM something like that. I fueled in Barstow and the flying J had some so I picked it up and added it to the fuel. Now according to my overhead, form barstow to vegas I got 25.3! Now we all know the overheads lie! There all 2-3 miles off. I will test this one and post the results as well!

What is this stuff you speak of? I'd give it a shot.

Truck dinged at me today with 840 on the clock. I should get another 50 or so out of it (90% city driving).

Later.

Here ya go! It's called FPPF. I've seen it @ most truck stops.
