I have a 1976 F250 high boy with a 1979 body on it. I'm looking to do a 12V cummins conversion out of a 1990 dodge w250. I'm new to the cummins motor and was just wondering what the common problems were with the motor and what I should look for when buying the parts truck. If anyone has experience with a similar project I was wondering what axels you would recommend, both front and rear, the transmission in the truck I intend to buy was rebuilt so I believe if it fits that I could run with that one for now until future building of the motor itself. Also if anyone had any idea how difficult it was to wire up the cummins and if I would be replacing all the gauges in my truck to do this conversion. I'm planning on starting this in the next couple weeks so let me know any input you guys have. Thanks
