Default 93 1st gen cummins

So I just bought a 93 1st gen Cummins. It has 244 on the motor and 64 on the trans. The only thing done to is a straight pipe, 4"lift and an advanced fuel pin. I have never had a Cummins before so what should I replace before it give me trouble and what can I do to get some extra hp out of the motor on a budget?

the truck should not give you any trouble stock. read the first gen performance section to get some ideas and just play with it.
Welcome to diesel bombers, and welcome to the world of Cummins

I second getting gauges first!
Pump tuning, gov spring, and hx35 turbo are all good cheap upgrades.
