Default Towing turbo for 6.7

I swapped my dead VGT for a 366 over the summer; big mistake. I'm stock for fueling, and this thing is a dog when towing; was never meant for lugging, and EG temps spike over 1600 in moderate hills. Bullseye, Fleece and other have told me what I already knew; I got the wrong charger due to not having the supporting mods to run it, and need a new charger. So far the top choiches are the Bullseye 363 and Cheetah 63. I tried to get some answers from ED, but haven't heard back from them for about a week now.

Basically, I need a charger that can let the trans lug in 6 while pulling 7 tons up moderate hills without killing the temps. The other downside to having the wrong charger is fuel mileage, which dropped 200 miles off my range; I have to keep it spooled to get any movement out of the truck. Temps also climb to near 1000 around town unloaded.

The Bullseye is about $1300 shipped, and I can keep my divided T4 ATS, but have no real feedback on it. The Cheetah, which comes highly recommended by my tuner, is about $1800, and requires a 5.9 T3 mani, so I may be looking at around $2k total if I can find a used mani. The cost and T3 are what give me pause.

Are there any other chargers I may have missed that will fit my needs? The 76/68 turbine wheel (or similar) seems to be most recommended by the builders.

have you looked into a 467.7? i've seen a bunch of mildly modded guys running it as a good stock upgrade / mildly modded supporting turbo.

...might be worth looking into since you already have a t4 manifold...

i'm by no means a turbo guru though. best of luck!

I've heard guys say they can tow with a 467, personally I couldn't keep my boost up and temps down when climbing so I went down to a 363SXE in a Rumble B (second gen conversion) kit. It's a complete kit that fits great. The second gen manifold and T4 flange flows way more and will help the turbo spool and keep temps down.
