My 2006 chevy 2500 has a code that tells me that my number 8 glow plug needs to be replaced. that has been done the code is still their and will not go away. I also have a banks turner on the truck I clear the code and still have it come up. I also took the battiers loose turned the lights on to drain any power that could be in the system but still have the code. Any ideas would be great.
p.s. I took the truck to a diesel shop they told they have no idea what is wrong they checked the new glow plug out that I just put in the plug is good. They took the number 7 plug in put in the number 8 spot and still the same code that says something is still wrong with number 8.

 

You sure you got the right number 8? Number 8 is driver side at firewall, different then gas engines
