Just got a 09 duramax, wondering what all she i do to it to get the mileage up first. DPF delete, tune and egr block off plate? if anyone has any advice on these trucks i would really apperciate it.

I was just adding on to your list, full exhaust system would remove the dpf anyway

 

Do i need a tune for that all to work?

 

Yes. It does not need to be a 500rwhp tune, but there needs to be a tune none the less, the truck should have a tune

 

Typically with emissions delete and you are on a stock trans we tune to right around 430RWHP. Keeps your trans happy and we write the tunes to do away with the DPF and EGR and you can throw a block off plate in there at that point. It will help with fuel mileage.

If we added a lift pump and a built trans we can get around 530RWHP providing healthy hard parts again we can write the tunes to delete the emissions so there is no codes being thrown.

 

does your tunes come with the DPs5 switch?

 

For the 09 LMM trucks, we can do DSP5 tuning and get a switch out for you.

i put a warning on the edge CS to beep at me if i go over 35% throttle. that's picked up mileage quite a bit. feels like i'm "driving miss daisy", but it helps with the fuel bill.
