is it possible to get the recon LED side marker lens kit and add it to mirrors that do not have the lights from the factory. these mirrors are basically base model mirrors that are not powered beyond mirror position. they do not telescope in and out nor do they power themselves against the truck they do have power mirror position. I can bring in the turn signal wires thru the door but im not sure if the lens will attach to the mirror or if the "blank" panel where the lens goes will come out to allow the lens to be put in its place.

 

just in case any one else is wondering about this I just looked at the tutorial on how to change the bulb on these and figured out how to pop out the blank panel. they do pop out and there is plenty of opportunity to route wiring in this mirror. there are numerous led side marker kits on sale across the web the most popular is made by reccon. I believe the kit I found on ebay for 68 bucks is the same as the recon kit that some of the diesel performance websites are selling for 120 so im gonna get this kit and install it ill try to post how they turned out just in case anyone is interested!
