Default New with the 6.5L running terrible

Hey guys I need help. I'm new with the 6.5 turbo diesel. I got the truck about a year and a half ago. I noticed it has had a hard start every time I started truck. I've changed glow plugs and still same results. Now just recently I started noticing some blow back and oil shooting from dip stick, and also ses light came on. Now just on Friday evening truck started running real rough and a boat load of white smoke started pooring out very with a rich fuel smell. Can someone please tell me what all this could be?

Could be an injector has blown out the tip.

they should be changed as a set,all 8 at once when they are rebuilt/replaced.

First get the codes checked, google paperclip code check and then post your codes here-the online code lists are not 6.5 specific and do not always apply-we can point you in the right direction.

Your hard starting might be a fuel leak from seals in the filter housing,or a lift pump problem?
lots of testing for you to do.

Thank you for the information. Yesterday I Took it to the shop and codes 35-36 came on saying injector pump is bad. Now when I drove back home yesterday evening I started experiencing a knocking sound. Could that be the lifters possibly going too?

Unlikely that lifters are going but possible?
Probably wouldn't be able to hear them over a running diesel though?

Bad injector pump sometimes makes a rattly loose marbles like sound a knocking cld b injector tip if its a manual trans cld b throwout bearing( wld sound like rod bearing) blowby cld b clogged cdr valve or low compression which would also be a hard start condition like you mentioned
