Default 92 7.3l f250 low mileage

new here and looking to purchase a 92 f250 7.3l with 55,000 miles on it. been parked for almost 2 years but all the fluids look good. im mainly looking for a tow rig for my jeep and stumbled upon this on a side job. I know nothing about diesels so ill just get that out of the way. theres some moisture in the intake manifold but nothing crazy. I was gonna have it towed to a shop to have the old diesel pulled before I throw batteries in it and start it up. the guy wants 1500$ for it, basically just wants it out of his driveway. seems a little to good a find but he knows even less than me and the truck was left to him. anything major I should be worried about being that it sat for that long? thanks and take it easy on me

Two years isn't bad, plenty of trucks have been revived after sitting much longer. I brought back a truck that had sat for 10 years needing a new clutch. I changed the fluids and glow plugs and just drove it. The only problems that quickly arose were the heater core blew, vacumn pump died and fuel pump died. Rubber deteriorates over time so I kind of expected most of that stuff to fail rather quickly. Why isn't the current owner driving it?

take a small bottle of 2 stroke oil, put it in and then fill your tank full and run it around on the highway as much as possible, Injectors need to be cleaned, it that dont work post again.... 2oz to a tank of fuel works good , I run Opti-lube Semi-syn 2 stroke oil

I use ATF. Real stuff though, not synthetic, not sure what burning fake stuff will do so I like to stick to the Dino stuff but with the added detergents of ATF.

I was recently informed that the detergents in atf actually do harm injectors ... they showed pics .. it wasnt pretty ..

then they showed the pics of the 2 stroke users and they were like new looking .. I just bought the Echo simi-syn .. 2 stroke oil .. runs noticably better I must say ( 12V Cummins ) milage is lookin better too ..
