Default Use wvo or WMO as biodiesel

I've heard of people just filtering wvo really well and mixing 80 percent vegetable oil and 20 percent diesel or 50/50 in the winter. What would you have to do for WMO? Will that work for wvo?

Running WVO is a tricky ordeal ... it has glycerin in it and it will clog up everything ... if its not processed correctly, your just as well off to fill the tank with water ...

I run WMO ( waste motor oil ) ... and its filtered to 5 microns .. and then run it and on the truck I also have a 5 mic filter as well ... much safer on the pump and injectors ..

Do you just filter the WMO through a filter and then mix it with diesel like 20 percent diesel and 80 percent oil and 50/50 in the winter?

If you use WVO like i do... The first trick is to get a good supplier who knows not to let water mix with the oil and secondly.. Not to use the oil until it is burned.
The third trick is to settle the oil a few weeks then filter it down in stages to at least 5 microns. That part is very important and i learned the hard way. Next get a vegtherm inline fuel heater that turns on and heats the oil as soon as you switch over , it heats to 170* . I have been doing this 3 yrs now... 2 of which are the most recent and problem free. No injector Pump problems, No Injector or Glow Plug problems... Just periodic filter changes.
