Default Flow-through Muffler Recommendation

Hey guys...

Can't afford a complete system right now but I can do a replacement for that restrictive stock muffler.

Anyone recommend one? Everthing I can find is for a 4" system (mine is stock 3 1/2").

Thanks,
Terry

restrictive muffler? the CAT has more resistance than the muffler.

changing out the muffler will not change anything but sound. if that is what you want then cool. if you are looking for more MPGs, higher flowing exhaust, etc then the muffler would be the last thing on my list to change out.

my 2 cents

I have a guy that is giving me a 4" downpipe.
But it will do no good without the rest of a 4" system.
...now...I have to wait until I can find the money to buy it.

Try looking on line. I found a complete system for less than 500.00. It is a 5" stainless magna flow . It is from the down pipe back. Sorry I don't remember the site. Don't make the mistake in looking solely in diesel speciality sites. The place I ordered from was out west. They were running end of year specials. There site web page had a sports car on their advertisement. I basically stumbled on it. That was also 4 years ago. You probably won't find one that reasonable but you can get close. This don't do nothing but encourage you to look, never know what you will find.
