So I will be going with a buddy to look at a 95 2500 6.5 diesel and was looking but couldn't find anything, the question is what should I be looking for when looking this truck over and what are the common problems to watch for. If there is already a thread and someone can link me to it then that would be great, if not any input would be muchly appreciated, thanks in advance

 

Just check the truck out, look for leaks everywhere! one major fault in the 6.5 in that year is the PMD (pump mounted driver) the smart idea is to relocate it. they are prone to failure, they do not like heat. if you ask the owner of the truck about it they will either show you, or they will have no clue and you need to relocate it yourself. also, if the truck is four wheel drive they have an "adapter" if you will for the oil filter, lay under the truck and near the oil filter you will see a big nut/bolt, 1 3/4 i beleve. they have tendency to leak oil around the seal there. hope all is well! good luck
