Hello i got a 92 f250 7.3l IDI with an ATS turbo. Iam having a problem when truck starts up it runs real rough and dies or ends up stabilizing after 10 seconds. Noticing a loss of power as well when driving than randomly i gain power back. Called around said its something with the fuel. Any help would be awesome

 

its air intrusion most likley ... the fix is typically either the return fuel O-rings on the injectors or the fuel filter housing sucking air , the O-ring at the bottom can cause all kindsa issues , BF1222( Baldwin filter ) I use this # to cross over to a WIX filter that is solid with out a Plastic bowl on the bottom , all metal and no leaks usually ( unless the lil petcock leaks a bit ... exchange it then ..

I would start with looking over the return line's and look for leaks ( even small ones ) , and if there clean and dry, change filter out ..

 

Thank you for the advice. turns out my truck wont start even if i have an 1/8th of a tank. Filled her up and no problems since. Thank god it was simple haha

 

its the Pick up tube ... another fine little issue these trucks are dooped with
