Ryan Anderson entered his beast of a 2008 Ford F-350 to compete in DPCX and was overwhelmingly voted in by our readership.In 2012, a 6.4L Power Stroke (Erik Clausen) came out of nowhere and beat out a handful of shop-owner–built trucks. Then, when Wesley Beech's 2008 F-250 took the win last year, the 6.4L solidified itself as a force to be reckoned with in the Diesel Power Challenge. The highly capable, common-rail V-8 put Ford owners on a level playing field with the Cummins and Duramax camps. As it stands today, Fords now have just as good of a chance at winning as any other brand. Without a doubt, this has emboldened 6.4L owners, as there was no shortage of 2008 to 2010 Super Duty entries this year.
