Default Can a disconnected oil pressure sensor do this..............?

The other day I changed my peddle position sensor and the result was devastating! My truck (2000) threw a turbo boost (MAP sensor) code, the red 'check gauges' light came on and so did the check engine light. But what's REALLY screwy is that the oil pressure gauge is now sitting on ZIT!!!

Nows the truck runs like it's in a 'shutdown' mode and will only run about 60 mph and is hurting for power!!!!...............and YES it has an Edge Comp on it, but I disconnected that, after all this happened.

Tonight I saw a diagram of the side of a 12 valve and see that the o/p sensor is close to where the apps harness might run....at least close enough to the apps harness that if one would tug on the bell crank assembly you might also be tugging on the o/p sensor lead.

QUESTION: Ok for shitz and giggles, let's say that I DID cause the o/p sensor wire to become disconnected. Would that cause the truck to go into a shutdown mode and run differently?

Can anyone give me a definitive answer on this???

And thanks a BUNCH for any help.
