Ok I put a new HPOP & I'm having a problem of trying to get the air bled out of the high pressure oil system. The resivor is full & both oil rails in the heads. The truck still misses & it starts slow. Asked ford & they said to run it hard for bout 20miles or so & it should eventually bleed itself out. I'm jus wondering if anybody else had had this problem before.

 

It happens every time you do anything involving the high pressure oil system. Just driving it will get the air out. Should be out in 50 miles or so

 

I've driven it 70 miles already & it still misses starts slow & dies sometimes when I slow down or come to a stop. It's starting to make me a little upset but I'm going to keep driving it & see if it will clear out.

 

What pump did you put on and what year is your pickup?

 

I put on a terminator t-500 & it's a 94.5 the pump I got had on there for 94-95 so it should be the right one

 

I've heard it takes a lot more than 50 miles. Probably mor like 100 plus
