Default PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Just replaced the filter in my 01 duramax lb7 it starts than idles for a few sec then dies! After I prime it, it runs fine! I thought if I changed the filter it would solve but I guess! Can you guys tell me how much the cp3 is?

it's probably not the cp3. i would first off rebuild the fuel filter head it only costs about 20 dollars and the cp3 is $785. it sounds like your getting air to me. rebuilding the head might fix this. while you have it off replace all the rubber fuel lines that will probably be weather cracked, if this still doesn't fix it then search for air leaks elsewhere before putting a cp3 on it.

merchant automotive makes the filter head rebuild kit. i usually get them from alligator diesel performance, but one of the sight sponsors might carry them, i've never looked.
