Default Oil in the coolant

Hi there I recently checked my coolant level and I noticed there's a thick later of oil on too of all the coolant. I dipped my finger into the radiator and it came out a thick black gob. What do I do about this?

Could it possibly be a seal? Or do you think I just need an entire oil cooler?

If its not the oil cooler, for 30-40 bucks you can get a head gasket sealer and run it in it. If you do that though, I would drain the radiator and you can run a low suds dishwasher soap in it (yes you can do that without hurting it) drain the water, fill back up then add soap. let run until warm drain again, then rinse till there are no more suds coming out. After that follow the directions on the sealant to the tee. Best of luck and hope you don't have to replace the head gasket!!!

The Oil cooler is a pain in the butt to get to , you will need to get the oil cooler gasket to block , i got mine from International .. Car Quest could not get them ...

the cooler is on the Drivers side of engine, you will have to lift the Engine up a bit ( loosen up motor mount and you will be able to pull it off ) .... you will need the Big O-rings and a good sized press and plenty of Silicone lubricant ( dont use oil , bad for rubber o-rings ) ..

Good luck and Do keep us posted ... ..
