im looking to buy one, if i keep my current 1st gen the trans will swap with no problems right? but the np241 is broken and a new case would be required. if i understand it right i can still use a 29 spline 205/208 as ling as it has the round pattern?

 

205wont take these torque loads is my understanding ... Same would go with the 208 as I recall ... It too has bearing load issues ... Might be able to up grade parts inside and then go for it .... My 205 has been built for small block power ... But not diesel torque loads
