looking for ideas about swapping v2203 in 89 toyota pickup 4WD currently has 22re in it.
anyone out there done this?
how hard was it to make engine mounts, adapters, flywheel matched up?

That would be a cool swap, I would love to have a Kubota in a Toyota 4X4! Before you get too far in check and see what gears your truck has, you need to be in the 3.42 range, 3.73 will work but they're not good interstate gears. Tires affect gear size also. As far as the swap goes, it all depends on your specific set of skills. It just takes time to process through the adapter plates, mounts, and belt systems.
i havent bought the engine yet some guy is selling them locally for 850 im just piecing information together before i acquire the engine and start removing the 22re. how would i know what gears my truck has?
im getting DI engine i contacted several machine shops locally and out of state as well some shop in California said they can make me adapters to bolt up v2203 to a toyota pickup adapter will cost 950 plus core...
