I bought some turbos at a flea market yesterday. Two IHI RHB7's (non wastegated) and six IHI RHB5's (wastegated). The 5's are tiny and the 7's are huge. Any idea what vintage these are? What type of vehicle did they come on? How do you think one of the 7's would work on a 6BT?

DODGE: COLT / CONQUEST / D50

MITSUBISHI: MIRAGE/STARION/GALANT


The RHB5's are listed for:
FORD: PROBE / T-BIRD

ISUZU: MARK 1 / STRYLUS

MAZDA: 323 / 626 / MX6 2.2L

SUBARU: LEGACY

 

basically the rbh7's are for 2.2-2.6 gas motors that spin to 6000 rpm or so

 

It's got a 2.7" exhaust wheel and is physically larger than an HX35! I think you must be referring to the RHB5 being for a 2.2-2.6 litre gas motor.
